how do I create a pop up?
Today I have started to investigate Excel. I am trying to make a list.
(I am using MS 2004 on a iBook G4) and I am already in trouble with something that surely should be very simple I would like to create a pop-up menu in one or more of my cells and have followed the instructions from the list wizzard which I have copied below 1. In the list, double-click the column heading in the column where you want to use a pop-up menu. 2. For Data type, click List. 3. In the Source box, type the entries you want to appear in the menu, separated by commas-for example, Shop 1, Shop 2, and Shop 3. 4. Click OK. Now, when you click a cell in the Shop Name column, a pop-up menu control appears beside it. When the control is clicked, a list of possible values is displayed. Unfortunately when I do this my entries are not separated by the commas at all and the only option I can click is the complete list of entries including the commas. I do not want to add the Excel program to my useless programs pile already, so please tell me what to do so I won't give up on Excel on this first try out. Thanks in advance |

Try using a semi-colon instead of a comma. Your regional settings may be
different than those used in the Help example. Sylly wrote: Today I have started to investigate Excel. I am trying to make a list.
