Same Header/Footer-Different Sheets
I have 12 different sheets and would like to use the same header/footer for
each one. I'm having to type the same header/footer for each. Is there an easier way? Please help. I'm using Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Professional. |

Hi Skydiver. Select the first sheet, hold down the shift key and select the
last sheet. This will group them together. Now add your header/footer and it will appear on all sheets. A Note of caution: Make sure to "Ungroup" after you get your Header/Footer chaqnges made. Grouping allows you to make changes to all you worksheets at the same time, be careful if you do any other editing, what ever changes you make to one sheet will be reflected on all. This is a nice feature when you want to make those kind of changes, but can really mess up your work if you did not what to. Mike Rogers "Michael" wrote: Hi Skydiver. Funny you say that Skydiver! That answer works, and I use it, but I
find it UGLY, not beautiful. It is not intuitive that grouping tabs extends from cell properties to sheet properties (for example, each sheet still has its own name). Also, grouping and ungrouping is fraught with danger. Trust me, inattention and stupidity are marvelous at overcoming care and thought. That solution doesn't help when you add a new sheet either. Excel needs a workbook-wide header and footer feature. Just count the number of times your question pops up in groups like this one. John Skydiver wrote: Awesome. Excel is beautiful. Thanks Michael.
