I routinely import long strings of data (rows). This data is always in the
same format, so I use the Text to Columns wizard to indicate column breaks, skips, and formats (general, text, date, etc.). Is there a way to save these parameters for repetitive use? It seems as though I'm reinventing the wheel each time! I seem to remember in Lotus one could copy the parsing string and use it on new data. Thanks for your consideration. I looked through some of the other questions on this topic and did not see a similar question, so I hope I'm not duplicating anyone's previous request. I haven't tried recording a macro yet, but that may be what is needed. Regards, dg |
