Okay - Excel stopped working - everything else works (Powerpoint, outlook and
word), yet Excel won't open. it makes a noise and the loading screen very
briefly pops up but it goes away.

I've opened it in safe mode and that worked, but I can't open it outside of
safe mode.

please help!!

Please answer some questions for us......
What version of Excel are you using?
Have you recently installed a new Add-in?
Have you recently put a new file in your XLstart directory?
Are there any files at all in your XLstart directory that you do not
recognize?

Okay - I believe it's Excel 2002 -- It came with Office XP Pro
-When I go to the options (when it's in safe mode) there are no Add-ins
loaded
-No files in XLstart directory
