Default AutoComplete list should accept ENTER key as well as TAB

If I type:

=C

An autocomplete menu featuring functions starting with the letter 'C' will
appear.
Intuitively, DOWN/UP arrows will navigate this menu. It *would* be
intuitive to hit ENTER at that point, as Visual Studio developers are
familiar with, and have Excel select the AutoComplete item and insert it into
the cell. However, the ENTER keypress simply enters the currently entered
text into the cell. Instead, the TAB key is expected for this purpose, a key
that is not at all intuitive (nor well documented).

Now that I know about the TAB key, it's no longer an issue for me, but I
worry about all the other people who find it as difficult to discover as I
did.

Once the user uses the arrow keys to select an item from the auto complete
list, they should have every expectation that ENTER will select from it. If
they don't use the arrow keys, then they can simply ignore the autocomplete
menu and everything (except for UP/DOWN) will behave as if it's not there.
Currently the autocomplete menu appears with the first item selected. This
would have to be changed to begin with no item selected, pending the first
use of DOWN to select an item. Once selection is in the Autocomplete menu,
ESCAPE can defocuse the menu and leave the cell in edit mode.
