As I indicated in my original post, the file exists as I searched for it and found it. But for some reason it is not opening with Excel. The main tip off was that none of my custom menus were loaded when Excel started, and also it doesn't show up in the VBE. -gk- |

Problem with Personal.xls
Your Personal.xls is not located in the folder that Excel looks in when it
opens. Do this: You say that you can search for and find Personal.xls. That means that you also know the path to it. Find it and rename it. Choose any name you want. Open Excel. Click on Tools - Macro - Record new macro. Choose to put this new macro in the personal workbook. Click OK. Stop the recorder. You just created a Personal.xls file in the proper folder.. Search for Personal.xls. When you find it you will also find the path to it. Put your original Personal.xls file into this folder. Delete the Personal.xls file you just created and rename your original Personal.xls file. Done. HTH Otto "Toxicdistortion" wrote in message ... "Bernard Liengme" wrote in message ...
