Default VLookup

I need to find a specific P/N on several spreadsheets and add up the sum of
the parts which is entered in column 7. The P/N's are not necessarily on all
sheets.

Default VLookup

Hello Vegs,

You could try to set up an Advanced filter on each sheet.

Try it on your first sheet. Put three blank lines at the top of your sheet.
In the first row put in the name of the part number column. Below this enter
the part number you are looking for.

Select the first column name in the main data area.

Now select data, advanced filter. This should correctly select the data
area, then, put $A$1:$A$2 in the criteria box and OK it.

You should get a list of just this partnumber on this page.

If you put an autosum under the column you need to count you will be able to
read this off easily.

HTH.
