Default Opening workbook

When i save my workbooks then i open that same workbook back up, it opens in
a completely different workbook w/in the same file and a different cell.

I have 3 worksheets and i'm working on worksheet #2 but after i
save/close/re-open, it will open on worksheet #3 and at the farthest cell
right.

Does this make sense?

No. Not unless you have some code executing when the file is opened. Do
you know if you have any code (macros) in that file? Is this problem with
only this one file? HTH Otto

I'll try to explain in a different way...

When you save your workbook and later re-open that workbook, it opens at the
exact same cell from which you closed the workbook. Here's my issue...

I have a workbook w/3 worksheets, if i close excel while working on sheet
2-cell EU32 then i re-open the workbook, it will put me at sheet 3-cell FF
258.

This is a shared workbook that hasn't been merged yet, just started the share.

I've never worked with shared workbooks. When you say that the file
hasn't been "merged" yet, does that mean that only you have had access to it
so far? If others have had access to it, then that explains it. If only
you have had access to it, then I go back to what I said originally: Your
file has opening or closing code in it. Answer these questions:
Does this file have any code (macros) in it of any kind anywhere in the
file?
Do you have this problem with only this one file?

Otto-
I appreciate your help...to answer your questions, there are no macros and
this is the only file.

I have a shared version and i copied it to my thumb drive so i could keep
working on the file away from the office then come back and merge my thumb
drive to the file on our net share.

I did find a solution, i merged the changes from my thumb to the master on
the net share and saved. I then opened the file and did a save as...to my
thumb drive and it seem to clear my issue.

Again, i appreciate you following this and having patience even though i
didn't supply the info you originally requested.

Regards,
Todd
