Thanks everyone....but i must be doing something else wrong. When I select
the rows (which is all of them) and click"ok" nothing happens. The numbers of the rows turn blue, but there are still some duplicate addresses (which are in column A). Did I miss something? thanks "Nick Hodge" wrote: Jason Highlight the data in this box and then select the data in the range you are trying to filter -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England HIS "Jason" wrote in message ... I'm trying to eliminate duplicates from an imported list and the advanced step has me stuck. When I get to the advanced filter, there are some word figures in the "list range". something like "$A$$660:$0$$" I click "ok" and it comes up with an error. What am I doing wrong? thanks Jason |
