build complex formulas using the dialogue box
In earlier versions of Excel, such as 97, you could create complex formulas
by using the formula dialogue box for help. There was always an insert formula icon next to the criteria line currently being populated. This would allow you to keep building complex formulas without having to know the criteria for each formula. Why isnt this possible with 2002/2003? I hope they bring it back. Does anyone know of a work around for this? |

Thank you for your response Paul. Yes, you are correct, however my problem
is after you select the intial function. For example if I choose the vlookup function and wanted to insert an "if" statement within the first "Lookup_value" criteria. There is an icon that lets you select a range of cells if that is your desire, at one point in time there was a second icon (Fx) that allowed you to choose another function and open a second dialogue box for the new function. Or am I just being dense about it and it is right there in front of me? Thanks agian.
