When I protect a worksheet, users are no longer able to update or change
links on that sheet, even if the only locked cells do not have links in the formulas. How can I protect cells that have calculations in them and still allow users to update and change linked files? Thanks! |

If you're going to use Edit|Links to update the links (or change the links), I
think you'll have to unprotect the worksheets in the workbook first. But the users can still update the value in a cell with a link by editing the formula: Select the cell F2 followed by enter (will be sufficient) Becky R. wrote: When I protect a worksheet, users are no longer able to update or change links on that sheet, even if the only locked cells do not have links in the formulas.
