Is there any way in Excel 2003 to disable the automatic insertion of the
"copy of" when using the file "save as" function on a read only file. I typically go to a read-only file dirctory and open the xls or csv files and then save the file into another directory that is not read-only. When I try to save the file it automatically adds in the "copy of" in front of the original filename. |

Can you move the files over in Windows by selecting them all then draggin
them to appropriate folder? Might be quicker then opening them all and resaving them...
