Default how to Export data from Quickbooks into formulated excel spreadshe

QB PRO 2002
Excel 2003

Every month I enter Credit card deposit data manually in a formulated SS.

I enter the same data when entering orders in QB. In QB I created a
customized sales report. It displays almost the same exact data as the
report above. The totals for each report have come up the same for the last
three months.

Unfortunately the Sales Report in QB can only display so much, the report
functionality is limited and there is no way to recreate the SS formt there.
We would like to be able to export the QB data into the exisitng formulated
excel SS. The SS report is more robust and has more detail.

I know I can export into a blank Excel SS, but what about formulated ones.

Create a macro that applies all your formatting and run it after you export
QB's data.

I'm not sure if I understand. Do you mean record the macro, recreate the
formulated/fomatted SS, stop recording.

I export the QB data into Excel. Run the Macro and it should put the data
into the correct rows/columns? It can't be that easy???

Record a macro that performs each step--function written, columns hidden,
columns stretched, etc. that you want to apply to the QB report. Save it in
Normal so it will be available in all new workbooks. Then export the data
from QB into a new workbook and play the macro.

I often do this with no problem. I need the same report run every few weeks
with updated info from QB. I save my workbook and every time I need to run
the same report in QB, I export it onto a new sheet in the same workbook. I
name my sheets with the date of the report (i.e.: 8-9-06).
