when the source data of my chart changes, the chart does not update
accordingly. Is there a refresh button like in pivot tables that I can press to update the chart? |

Do you mean:
a) when you add data to the worksheet, the new data is not displayed? If so read www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme/ExcelTips to learn about dynamic chart; OR if sing XL2003 make a 'list' and the chart will be dynamic, or b) if you change existing data, the chart is unchanged. When ou clcik on the line in the chart, does Excel draw a box around the data in the cells? come back for more best wishes Bernard "Marc" wrote in message ... when the source data of my chart changes, the chart does not update accordingly. Hi Bernard,
It's not new data, it's existing data that I change and it does not get reflected in the chart. When I click on the line, no line appears around the source data cells "bernard liengme" wrote: Do you mean: a) when you add data to the worksheet, the new data is not displayed? So somehow the data is not linked to the chart - this can happen if you
click on the chart, place the cursor in the Formual Bar and press F9. Right clcik the chart and select Source Data and open the Series tab to see what the chart is using for data. if you see somethinh like {1,2,3,} your chart is disconected from its data. You may need to remake the chart.
