In a scattergram, is there a way to have Excel show a line equal to the average value of the data? I've been including an "extra" point in the data that is equal to the average value and then manually drawing a line through that point after I copy the chart into Word, but I'm hoping there's a more elegant way to do this. I'm using Excel; 2003. Thanks! < One way: Enter XY data for two points on the worksheet (the start and end points for the line). Use Chart | Source Data | Series (or other method) to add the new data series to the chart. Format the new series Pattern to show Line (automatic or custom). - Mike www.mikemiddleton.com |
