probability of approximation
I have a trendline on the chart and Value of probability of approximation
(R^2) correspondent to this trendline. How can I return this value in a sell as number? I appreciate your help. |

Use the RSQ worksheet function. R^2 is usually called "coefficient of determination" in statistics. It's the proportion of variation in Y that is explained by X in the model. I have never heard it described as the "probability of approximation." - Mike www.mikemiddleton.com "saita" wrote in message ... Or, if it is more than a linear trendline, use LINEST with the
statistics flag set. Jerry Mike Middleton wrote: saita - Use the RSQ worksheet function. R^2 is usually called "coefficient of determination" in statistics. Mike-
Thanks a lot. "probability of approximation." is my erroneous translation from Russian- I use Russian localization of MS Excel. It suppose to be (in direct translation) - " reliability of approximation". But of course "coefficient of determination" is correct. Saita PS Jerry, thanks a lot, as well.
