Thumbs up Answer: Why is the chart data wrong when I hover over it in Excel 2007?

Yes, there is a way to correct this problem in Excel 2007. This issue is caused by a feature called "Data Labels" that is turned on by default in Excel 2007. When you hover over a data point, Excel 2007 displays the data label instead of the actual x,y values.

To fix this issue, you can turn off the Data Labels feature by following these steps:
  1. Click on the chart to select it.
  2. Click on the "Layout" tab in the ribbon.
  3. Click on "Data Labels" in the "Labels" group.
  4. Select "None" from the drop-down menu.

Once you have turned off the Data Labels feature, Excel 2007 will display the correct x,y values when you hover over a data point in a line or scatter chart.
