Data Series Label Positioning
Excel 2007
I have an bar chart that has vertically oriented data labels that are centered on each bar of the chart. I need to reproduce that for another chart, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how I got it to work the first time. I know how to add the series label to the chart and to flip the labels vertically, but the labels all appear above the bar instead of being centered within the bar. How do I get the series labels to automatically center within each bar? Thanks for any insight that you can provide. --Tom |

Data Series Label Positioning
I don't see a "Label Position" option. I *do* see an option for alignment,
which is where you set the horizontal alignment and text direction, but I see nothing for vertical alignment. I thought that maybe the number was too large to fit within the bar, so as a test I dummied up the data to make it a small number so that there would be plenty of room for the number to fit inside the bar, but it still displays above the bar. --Tom "Andy Pope" wrote in message ... Data Series Label Positioning
Hi,
The lack of alignment options is due to the use of 3d charts. And to get the labels centered you need to use the stacked 3d column rather than clustered 3d.
