The data table includes the series name. You can change the default "Series 1" to something more descriptive: choose Source Data from the Chart menu, click on the Series tab, select the series from the list, and type a label in the Name box. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com/ _______ Kathy wrote: Excel is automatically adding a title or maybe it's called a data label [shows in name box] to the line of date from the data table in my chart.
