Conditional Formatting in Pivot tables/charts
Would anyone happen to know if it is possible to use conditional formatting
of information in a pivot table that will result is highlighting of the corresponding bar in a chart? I m trying to set up a pivot table so that if a value is less than a set number it will be highlighted for rapid visual detection. Thanks |

Thanks Hi Gavin, Putting aside the pivot table part for a moment, give a good look to this page on Jon Peltier's site: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...nalChart1.html I think your best bet is not to use the pivot table as a direct source of data for charting. Instead, use the pivot table for what it does well (i.e., organizing and summarizing), then find a way to massage that data into a shape that will let you chart as in Jon's example. Hope this helps! |
