I have a unique Excel Chart saved on one file (chart01.xls). I have
hundreds of files that each contain one chart (chart01.xls, chart03.xls, etc) .. How can organize these charts such as in Access database so I can quickly search and preview or open select chart? Any suggestions? -- FL |

Hi,
If all the charts are saved to the same folder you might consider: 1. Using the Save Preview Picture feature so that when you use File Open you can set the display to Preview and see a preview. This is done by choosing File, Properties, Save Preview Picture. Remember the picture that is saved is of the top left corner of the sheet you are on at the time you save the file. 2. You could take a camera picture of each chart or sheet and imbed those in another Excel file as an index. Then you could create a hyperlink to each file so you could quickly open the file from the Index file. The Camera tool is found by choosing View, Toolbars, Customize, selecting the Commands tab, choosing the Tools category and finding Camera on the right. Drag the tool to one of your toolbars. Highlight the area on screen you want to shoot and click the Camera... -- Cheers, Shane Devenshire "FL" wrote: I have a unique Excel Chart saved on one file (chart01.xls).
