Default How to retain format for linked data source

I created a chart whose data source is linked from 4 different workbooks.
When I open the worksheet where the chart is, the format ( in percentage(%) )
of the data has been changed. How can I retain the format of the chart data
based on the linked source data . Appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.
