Create a stacked bar chart and format the "task start date" bar to be invisible. The "length of task in days" bar will then be floating in the middle of the chart. Reverse the order of the name axis in Format Axis, so the task names read top to bottom instead bottom to top. Hi Jeff
MS Project would be the best choice. You can make a gantt chart in Excel but it's pretty poor. You can google Excel Gantt charts for examples.
