I need to build a graph Chart
Hello, I am a Physics student and I need to build three graph charts showing
the velosity. I need to take my data for Distance and divide it by the time to get my average speed. How do I create a chart to show this data?? I have tried several times and it doesnt turn out right.. graph 1 data is Distance Time Average Speed 10 m 0.96 s 10.41 m/s 20 m 2.84 s 7.04 m/s 30 m 4.00 s 7.50 m/s Graph 2 data is. Distance Time Average Speed 10 m 0.78 s 12.82 m/s 20 m 2.28 s 8.77 m/s 30 m 4.70 s 6.38 m/s graph 3 data is Distance Time Average Speed 10 m 0.78 s 12.82 m/s 20 m 2.65 s 7.54 m/s 30 m 4.00 s 7.50 m/s Would appreciate any help on this today if possible. |

I need to build a graph Chart
Suppose that starting in A1 you have
10 0.96 20 2.84 30 4.00 In C1 (next to the cell with 0.96) enter =B1.A1 to compute the velocity (please note spelling) Copy this down to the last row of the data Use the mouse to select A1:A3; hold the CONTROL key (CTRL) and select also C1:C3 Click the Chart Wizard and make an BY chart Now that you have see how easy it is; go to library and find a simple Excel book to learn more best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme Microsoft Excel MVP http://people.stfx.ca/bliengme remove caps from email "Lonsomdov" wrote in message ... I need to build a graph Chart
What do you want to show on the chart? Are you trying to plot speed against
time, or speed against distance, or what? When you say you want 3 charts, do you actually want 3 separate charts, or do you want one chart showing the 3 data series? I hope that your data doesn't include the m and s and m/s text, and that it merely has the 3 columns showing 10, 0.96, and 10.412 respectively? Your problem description of "I have tried several times and it doesnt turn out right." doesn't really help us to help you. Why not tell us what you tried, what results you got, and in what way those results differd from what you intended? -- David Biddulph "Lonsomdov" wrote in message ... I think Bernard may have intended to spell his formula as =A1/B1 rather than
=B1.A1 :-) -- David Biddulph "Bernard Liengme" wrote in message ... .... and the A1 and B1 were back to front, but apart from that the formula
was good! We all have days like that. :-) -- David Biddulph "Bernard Liengme" wrote in message ... Yes indeed.
