Default Bug Report - chart redraw disintegrates - regression analysis outp

I just installed Office 2007Ultimate. Was working on regression analysis and
the first time I tried generating regression analysis I got weird problems
with the autogenerated charts. I can duplicate with the following actions:

1. open excel/new worksheet.
2. enter 1-10 in column A, rows 1-10
3. enter a formula like =a1*2 in cell b1 and drag to b10
4 Data/Data Analysis/Regression
Y range = $A$1:$A$10
X range = $B$1:$B$10
-new worksheet ply (selected by default on mine)
-check every checkbox for residuals and probability
click <OK
5. move a chart on the new worksheet ply (drag the normal probability chart
down)

On my installation, every time I do this, the text "stays" where the chart
was, while the box and the bar graph move to where I drag the chart. but the
"text" that stayed is not selectable, and the chart redrawing becomes
sporadic and unpredictable, and the text appears on the newly moved chart if
I click on where it should be. sometimes. Basically the whole screen
redrawing feature falls apart until I save and reopen the file. Then the
chart behaves normally.

Hi,

Just confirming I can reproduce the problem.
How many charts do you see on the new sheet? Can you see the '1 Line Fit
Plot'?

Cheers
Andy

I also duplicated it. Noteworthy might be the two warnings I got that said
"Can't empty clipboard". When I saved the workbook, (save as) the text
elements and chart area frame caught up with the chart, but they were still
decoupled. Subsequent saves did nothing, but save as again temporarily
caught up the stray elements to the chart. When I close the workbook I got
two warnings that I had no printers installed.

This is bizarre, I haven't seen stuff like this since well before the
release.

I reduced the frequency and severity of chart redrawing problems by running a
repair installation:

Office Button/Excel Options/Resources/Diagnose

After the diagnosis I got a notification that repairs were made (sorry I
don't remember exact message) and chart drawing, while still not super
reliable, is improved. I am disappointed with the reduced efficiency in
changing chart settings.
