Default Extending Quadrants

I am making a line graph for school. But I need to extend the quadrants, and
extend the treadline back, how do I do this?

Default Extending Quadrants

I don't know what "extend the quadrants" means.

If using a trendline is to make sense, you should probably be using an XY
chart, not a line chart. You can format an XY chart so lines connect the
points.

To extend the trendline in either direction, double click on it, and on the
Options tab, increase the value in the Forecast boxes.
