I have a list of projects in an excel sheet that are billed daily by
different vendors, I need to setup a pivot table that shows the average invoices per project per month. Any advice on how to accomplish this would be greatful |

Hi,
Of course this isn't a charting question or is it? Suppose your dates are in column A with the title at the top being Date, and your Invoices Amounts are in column B with the title Invoices. Assume this starts on row 1. Select your data and choose Data, PivotTable and PivotChart Report, Next, Next. On the third step click the Layout button and drag the Date field button into the row area and the Invoices button into the Data area. Double-click the Sum of Invoices button in the Data area and choose Average under Summarize by and then click OK, Finish. In the pivot table place your cursor in the Date column (row area) and choose PivotTable, Group and Show Detail, Group. In the dialog box choose Month only and click OK. -- Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Leah" wrote: I have a list of projects in an excel sheet that are billed daily by different vendors, I need to setup a pivot table that shows the average invoices per project per month.
