How do I change the width of data columns in a column chart?
I created a column chart with 7 data series, and the data columns are very
thin, so you can't tell one series from another. I tried using overlap and gap to increase the width of the columns, but that is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

It sounds as though you may have inadvertently triggered the "Time-scale" behavior in the X axis. Go to Chart.. Chart Options.. Axes, and select "Category" for the X axis instead of "Automatic", and see if that helps. -- Del Cotter NB Personal replies to this post will send email to , which goes to a spam folder-- please send your email to del3 instead. |

How do I change the width of data columns in a column chart?
Hi,
Sounds like your x axis is being treated as Dates rather than categories. Right click chart and pick chart options. On the Axes tab check Xaxis Category type. How do I change the width of data columns in a column chart?
Thanks for your help. Actually, since I had 7 series six months
apart, covering 67 months, the lines had to be skinny to fit in each month. I changed my values from dates to odd numbers 1 through 23, mad the axis invisible and put in a text box with the dates.
