I'm have a need to create a legend to show the points outside the Excel
charting environment. Does anyone know of a font that includes most of
Excel's chart series marker style?

Have you considered creating your legend in Excel and capturing it as a
bitmap or vector image for display? Or even creating bitmap or vector
images of each marker type?
