Default Chart pasted from excel to word is distorted

We just upgraded to Office 2007. I am finding that when pasting charts from
Excel into Word (using CTRL+C, CTRL+V), the axis titles are squished up
against the axis labels and the legend entries are not always visible.

I know that you can edit the pasted chart from within Word to "make it fit",
but that takes a considerable amount of time if you have a lot of charts in a
document.

Any thoughts?

GP -

Consider this method:

Select the Excel 2007 chart by clicking just inside its outer border, and
choose Home | Paste | As Picture | Copy As Picture | OK.

In Word 2007, select the insertion location, and choose Home | Paste.

Thanks for the advice. That seems to work pretty well.

After further review, I found that my problem occured when I opened a file
(and charts) created in Excel 2002 with Excel 2007 and then copied and pasted
the chart into Word.

If I saved the file as an Excel 2007.xlsx file and then recreated the
charts, I did not have any problems with the chart axis.
