Default Calculating Resolution Rates

Hi,

the format hh:mm rolls over to zero after 24 hours so use

[h]:mm

and it won't roll over

When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that
introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the
question.

I'm trying to calculate resolution rates from our help ticketing system in
Excel - I've tried several recommendations from here and they're not counting
total hours (if the range is more than 1 day, it's not adding the additional
24 hours).

My Dates are formatted like this:

Column A: 2/4/10 9:25
Column B: 3/15/10 14:07
The formatting for these cells is: Date 3/14/01 13:30

The result of a simple B1-A1 is coming out to: 4:42
The formatting for this cell is: Custom h:mm

I'm hoping someone can provide me with some suggestions, it would be much
appreciated!

Thanks -
Rhonda
