Are you sure you're unlocking the correct cell--the cell that's linked to the
combobox?

I used xl2003 and added a combobox from the control toolbox toolbar and linked
it to a cell on the same worksheet.

When the cell was unlocked and the worksheet protected, I could change the
combobox.

But if the cell was locked with the worksheet protected, I could not change the
combobox.
