Default how do I delete a "Workbook" from the Excel menu?

Thanks for the help. Seems I will have a bit of a wait before it disappears.

Firstly, realize that this is only a link to teh last "X" number of workbooks
you have opened. Deleting the spreadsheet does not change teh fact that you
had opened it at some point.

If you still need to remove it from the list, you can accomplish that by
changing the number of files listed in that open menu list. Any change to
that setting, clears the history list and starts a new history record.

Office buttonAdvanced Excel optionsAdvanced Display group Show this
number of Recent documents.

Of course that completely clears the history list, maybe NOT what you
wanted-- It will however remove that, and all other, entries from your
recentlu opened files list in Excel.
