That happened to me as well for a brief time frame. The only thing I did
before I was able to search again was close I.E. and re-open it. I have no
idea if that is what fixed it, I just know that I am able to search again.

I've signed out and then in again, I've even copied words from questions I
can see -- and it still tells me it can't find results.
