Default Hiding columns in a protected sheet

If you can't do it via the user interface and you can't do it via a macro, I
don't know what's left.

I already try'd your solution. But this is not the answer, it is indeed
possible to moddify the column with, but not to hide columns.

Creating a macro is also not possible. I'm trying to make a planning
document were people can hide or unhide columns containing weeks of the year.
Parhaps there is another solution/method for my problem.

I'm working on a sheet with some protected cells. I want make it possible
that poeple can hide some columns but not the protecten cels that are in the
same columns. I try'd it, but when I select the columns including the
protected cells the option to hide the columns is gray. Is something like
that possible?
