Default Protect just 1 column

By default all cells in a worksheet are protected but this only becomes
active if the worksheet is proected so try this:-

Select all cells and then
Format|Cells|protection and removed the locked checkmark
Then select column C and repeat the above but this time add the checkmark
Protect your sheet and your done.
Caveat this isn't secure

Hi

I want to protect just column c in a spreadsheet. This column has a formula
wich automatically stamps the current date and time. I want to prevent this
formula from been deleted.

Could anyone help me.
Thanks,
