If the latter, go to ToolsOptionsView and checkmark under Comments
"Comment Indicator Only"

If the former, I don't know what's going on.

Most of the time... if you change an option and then set it back to
default, any error will correct itself. So I would try this...

Tools Options View Tab Comments section - Set it to 'None' and
click Ok. Then go back into the options and set it back to 'Comment
Indicator Only' and click Ok.
