Just a guess...

Maybe you don't have write authority (anymore??) to that folder.

Excel works with windows very nicely. If excel sees that you can't save to that
folder, it won't even ask you to how to open the file--it just opens readonly
(assuming you have read access).

Opened up the sheet, then got the splash screen to enter the password. Put

(I didn't get the enable/disable screen, but that's the other users setup).

Why I am not getting the option to enter password, when I opened the file on
the other PC, I'm listed as the owner, and yet, I can't open,

Any ideas greatfully recieved!
