Apply this formula in the conditional format: =ISERROR() Also: =ISNA()

Alternatively you could trap (eliminate) the #N/A error by adopting the
following form: =IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP([your criteria]),"",VLOOKUP([your
criteria]))
