Either you have the "formula view" enabled:
<Tools. <Options <View tab
With "Formulas" *CHECKED* under 'Windows Options'.

OR

The cell that you used to enter your formula into was formatted as "text"
before you entered the formula.
Just changing the format to 'General' or 'Number' will not work.
You must re-enter (register) the formula again.
Change the format to number or general, then click in the formula bar and
hit <Enter.

A shortcut for this revision is to select the cell, then:
<Ctrl <Shift < ~ ,
Then <F2,
Then <Enter.

Try this:

when I try to link cells on different sheets from the same workbook it
doesnt
seem to work properly. In the new cell which i want to display info
from
another work sheet so I type:

='AB-Info'!B50

And the formula stays in my new cell. When it should be the words from
the
original cell.

Any tips?

Thanks
