Default Using Hyphens in a cell

Dear Max,

Thank you for the answer. It works perfectly. Sorry I did send my
thanks sooner. I was too busy working on the spreadsheet!

Thanks again!

Hello, I am trying to use hyphens in my worksheet. For example, I
would like to enter 6-9 instead of entering 6,7,8,9. But, every time I
enter 6-9, it is converted to 38877.00 for a number designation or
9-Jun like it is a date.

Precede the entry with an apostrophe
Or, pre-format the cell as Text
