Default Using Hyphens in a cell

Try prefixing it with an apostrophe, '6-9 It will show the apostrophe in the
formula bar but not in the cell,
Regards,
Alan.

Hello, I am trying to use hyphens in my worksheet. For example, I
would like to enter 6-9 instead of entering 6,7,8,9. But, every time I
enter 6-9, it is converted to 38877.00 for a number designation or
9-Jun like it is a date.

Any suggestions?
