Default 2007 Chart formating

Has anyone had problems when opening an earlier version .xls (2000 or 2003)
with 2007 that contains a Chart and it looses the formatting of the X Axis
labels? Or I suppose you could say it changes it. It seems to be happening
when you open an earlier version in compatibility mode.

Is this a known issue?
Thanks
Marty
