Default Excel 2007 - Arrow keys backwards in one text box

This is very strange.

I just received a document -- no macros present -- with two text boxes.

In one text box there is a list of words and if I push the left arrow key
the cursor moves right, and if I push the right arrow key the cursor moves
left.

If I place the cursor at the end of one of the words and type something the
cursor jumps to the beginning of the word and starts typing there.

Any ideas what is causing this? I've looked in the text box properties and
defaults and cannot find out what is causing this.

Default Excel 2007 - Arrow keys backwards in one text box

We are also experiencing this problem. What I've found so far is this:
The spreadsheet was originally created in Excel 2003
From Excel 2007 I saved the spreadsheet in Excel 97-2003 format and reopened
in Excel 2003. The cursor was still going backwards.
In Excel 2003, I highlighted the textbox, right clicked on it and selected
to edit the textbox properties
In the ensuing dialog I clicked the alignment tab
In that dialog there is a drop-down box for text alignment. The options are
Context, Left to Right, and Right to Left. The default was Context.
When I changed the text alignment to Left to Right, the backwards cursor
anomaly was gone. I saved the spreadsheet and opened it in Excel 2007.
The cursor behaved correctly.

While this worked while I was troubleshooting the issue, this is not a
viable ongoing option. I've yet to find the same settings for the textbox in
Excel 2007, which would negate the need to do all the steps I mentioned
above. Where are those settings in Excel 2007???
