Visual Basic Macros
My spreadsheet was created on Office Excel 2003. My new Mac computer has
Office 2008. 2008 does not support Visual Basic Macros. What is the best way to resolve this conflict. |

Visual Basic Macros

You'll have to decide what's best for you, but, assuming you want to keep your new Mac, here are three short-term possibilities: (1) Install Mac Excel 2004. (2) On an Intel Mac, use Apple's Boot Camp, or use virtualization software like vmWare's Fusion or Parallels, to run Windows Vista or Windows XP. Then install Windows Excel 2003 or Windows Excel 2007. (3) Rewrite your VBA macros in the Excel 4 XLM programming language or in AppleScript, both of which run in Mac Excel 2008. Or, wait a year or two or three for the next version of Mac Excel, which will likely support VBA. You can see related, extensive discussions in the microsoft.public.mac.office.excel newsgroup. - Mike Middleton' http://www.DecisionToolworks.com Decision Analysis Add-ins for Excel "Mia Skier" <Mia wrote in message ... Visual Basic Macros
I have considered all 3 options. The one that makes the most sense to me is
#3 to rewrite the VB macro in Apple script. I have read the info for this program and would need someone to help me with this process...essentially I need the macro to reduce each sheet in the spreadsheet to items that are 0. Who would provide this type of service? Visual Basic Macros
Mia Skier -
I don't know exactly what you mean by "reduce each sheet in the spreadsheet to items that are 0," but perhaps the Data | Advanced Filter feature could be useful. If you want to find to find someone who writes AppleScript, I think you will have better luck in the Mac-specific forums, e.g., microsoft.public.mac.office.excel - Mike Middleton "Mia Skier" wrote in message ...
