If you feel this is happening due to style then select the range and apply
normal style. If your file format is not restored then this may be because of
something else. (May be u have selected all cells and applied date format)
Try your backup file or opening ur original file in excel 2003 and then
saving again

what do you mean apply normal style?
my range includes several types: Dates, numbers, general... only the general
formats changed into date. i can not change the whole range to general since
the real dates will be dispalyed not ok.
the file is very big, i can not change it cell by cell.
i'm looking for general solution.
(i have not selected the range and set it to Date... in this case i would'nt
ask for the reason... :-))
