We have uninstalled and reinstalled MS Office Suite. We have run Detect and
Repair. When you first open Excel the X button is visible, but is not enabled. After working in Excel for a few minutes, the X button will gray out. You have to select File and Exit to close the application. |

Do you have Groupwise installed? If so, search MS Knowledgebase for Excel
