Default microsoft visual basic compile error can't find library

My Excel in Office 2003 was working fine, then recently I started to get this
message when I open the program that says microsoft visual basic, compile
error, can't find library. I can click out, "stop" the debugger and get back
to Excel, but I can't figure out what happened, or why?

Go into the VBIDE (Alt-F11), and then menu ToolsReferences. If there are
any items marked MISSING, de-select them and see what you get.
