Default how to let excel ask to save the sheet when closing the excel file

I Have a problen which is when I close the excel file it is not asking me if
I want to save my work so this leads to losing information I've added to my
work sheet so please if some one has the solution can give it to me

The only time I've seen this is if the developer didn't want me to save my
work--and they used some kind of code that "lied" to excel to say that the
workbook was already saved (and didn't need to be saved).

If that's possible, talk to the developer of the workbook.

You may be able to turn off macros when you load that file, but then you might
be disabling lots of stuff you need.
