I have created a report template. Certain cells are protected, and certain
cells are editable. When a user clicks on a protected cell, they get the following error message "The cell or chart you are trying to change is protected and therefore read-only. To modify a protected cell or chart, first remove protection using the Unprotect Sheet command (Tools menu, Protection submenu). You may be prompted for a password." Since the chart is for my superiors, I was wondering if anyone knew how to either suppress or edit the Protected cell error message. I am looking for phraseology that is a little more subtle. Regarding solutions, I am familiar with how to modify my own help messages, but the problem is that these files will be sent to users on other machines. I would guess that I could send them new Help files, but was looking for a more elegant approach |
